Day 16 – Great Release Program – 16 January 2020 – Thursday – by Silver RavenWolf

Chickens and Roosters are symbols of Good Luck, Prosperity, and Industry.  Putting an image of a chicken or rooster in an eastern facing window is thought to stop gossip.

Today’s Challenge: Learn Something New!  Every month I try to discover something new, add a new skill, or take some sort of adventure!  Today’s Challenge is to do exactly that!  Do something new and different! I’m sure there has been something you are interested in, but, you’ve been putting it off with a variety of excuses.  Sweep the nay-saying aside and enjoy!

Silver Update:  I hope you have been able to clear out and release negativity and finish some ongoing projects!  These past fifteen days have been a whirlwind for me, clearing, dumping, cleaning, fixing, and organizing many of the rooms in the house.  My reward choices included going to the movies (1917 and Knives Out are both great films), learning a new quilting technique (the pictured rooster), making some yummy, aromatic soap, and upgrading my computer (the old one expired right before this program began).  I have many more changes I want to make before the program finishes!  How about you?  What is the most important change you want to make, now that you have gotten this far?

  1. Have always wanted to learn more about crystal ball scrying as I have a big crystal ball I want to use it a lot more. I’m also making a new altar platen or pentacle today from a set of four beautiful rubberwood plates. I research the wood and found it’s excellent for pyrography. Looks like I’m gonna have me some fun! Yipppeeee! Thanks for reminding me Silver to do this more often.

  2. My something new is also a crystal ball! I chose one for someone to give me as a Christmas gift but I’ve been too busy to use it. It’s been calling to me, and I keep saying “don’t worry, I’m getting there” LOL I’ve never done any crystal ball scrying so today’s the day!

The most important change I want to make? There are a few energetic “dead zones” around my house. Places where nothing changes, nothing moves, nothing ends well, nothing supports what I’m trying to accomplish, mess accumulates, and all of those sorts of things. I definitely want to get those cleared, moved, rearranged, cleansed… whatever it takes to shift things a bit 🙂

  3. YES! I start learning Ogam! I am going to finish a craft work I have been setting aside …and my plan is to do this today, as part of my week goal. Lots of things await me to set them in order….as if I have just noticed the mess everywhere I look at home….my wardrobe is the BIG challenge but I will do it! Love and Light ❤

    1. I learned of sympathetic magick today, which I stumbled upon, some how, while working on my goal for this week. I also started looking into knot magick and weather magick. The amount of things I want to study and learn is rather extensive.

There are some personal changes I would like to make before the program is over. I have accomplished so much so far and I want to carry the momentum with me throughout the year.

  4. First of all is that planning new adventures is a lifestyle for me and has been for about 25 years. I think my biggest adventure was exploring the Labrador coast in my 36 ft sailboat through massive ice bergs. We have since sold the sailboat, as getting older definitely has its disadvantages with this kind of equipment handling. So, we downsized to a camper van and have been adventuring all over the Western U.S. and Canada. We traveled 18,000 miles this Summer just past. Of course, actively traveling makes it fairly easy to seek out new adventures. The challenge for me has been how to find new adventures from our ground zero Basecamp.

I have evaluated what might be a good diversion while we are at home regrouping for our next journey to alleviate complaints about all work and no play and suggested that we may resurrect our old aluminum fishing boat and motor that have been sitting buried in the garage for the last 15 years. The suggestion was favorably taken on. Whoot! We used to grab nice days and go fishing fairly often and since we sold our sailboat we have missed being out on the water. The boat has been unburied, cleaned, and glory be, the motor runs! Good old Johnson outboard! Today’s adventure will be a learning adventure to find a new tail light set for the trailer and rewire same. Neither my husband or myself are well versed with electrical techniques, so a true adventure it will be! Wish me luck! I’ll let ya’ll know how it turns out…

      1. Well, we found the light set, which will be a good upgrade for the trailer, but it was a drizzly day and we had other errands to run, so the project was on hold, but I know our men will see that it gets done soon! Thanks for your interest!

  5. Oh, and how could I forget: I wanted to send a big thank you to everyone who has been helping me with sending healing Blessings to my physician. I received a message in my patient portal today, after having sent a message to let him know we were praying for him. ” thanks much ; ur kind words appreciated.” So Mot It Be!

  6. The most important change I would like to make with my remaining time is that I would like to leave all thoughts/hopes for sexuality and romaticism behind. It is probably TMI, but oh well, I am shameless! I am 39 years old and have been single for 17 years. I have been without intimate companionship for 9 years this March. I always meant to come back around to it when my son graduated from high school, which has happened. But, a recent incident after I started to try again has led me to know this is not something I ever want in my life again. My goal is to be free from even the thought of this type of thing. It only hurts me, so I should let it go! I am not sure what kind of new thing I could learn. I have been thinking of shaving my head. I have never been a super attractive woman and I feel like shaving my head could help me with my goal and could be an adventurous thing. I do not have to conform to society’s expectations and it might be time to really show it. That, or I might learn some make up technique. I have never really learned and, as I am entering my 40’s, it might be time and might be a good way to honor my femininity, especially if I shave my head.

  7. Well I did try something new. I let myself be recruited into a local Sci-fi club. I had made an outfit (which is the hardest of all the uniforms). I attended a social dinner, a social outing, and a meeting. Gave them my contact info, and waited to be contacted. 2 months later nothing. I guess I need to find something else.

  8. Yesterday I barely did a thing. Now my house is in disarray. My Bud (Husband) has degenerative disc and nerve damage in his back. The last two days have been very hard on him. Hes only 43! Yet there are days hes so twisted and week he seems much older. I hope and I pray and I try all kinds of remedies to help him. We’ve seen many doctors and plan to try a back clinic in the coming months. This came on the heels of our youngest having had chronic fatigue for years, which they believe to be linked to lack of oxygen. He had a nose surgery and now he’s in the Amry and thriving! Just as our son was getting better My Bud got worse. We were a very active couple; dancing, hiking, camping, fishing, archery, ect. This has been extremely hard on him and me. I have little support where we are. Shoot I have little support period. I’m kinda scared for our future. Plans keep changing and shifting. I’m just tired from being strong. Tired of doing most everything house wise alone. Tired of hearing nothing can be done. Tired of watching my favorite person in the world struggle just to get dressed! Tired of feeling helpless. The house was feeling lighter and then his pain came crashing in. My main goal is for a happier, healthier, and lighter home. Today that seems like a pipe dream. However every year I chose a word for the year and this year is Grace. Lord and Lady know I could use some and live life walking with it. More than anything I need to find support outside My Bud.

      1. My youngest used this when he was ill and dealing with depression. I forgot about it till now. Thank you!

  9. This program has brought me closer to the Divine Lady. I’ve been focusing on my relationship with her. I’m new to the craft and have a lot to learn. I bought 3 of your books and brought one home from the library! I joined on day 4 of the program. I’ve learned a lot! I’m still catching up. I work with in my physical limitations and push just a little more to cleanse my space. But it’s getting easier to let go.

Thanks for all your hard work over the years and on this program!
