Day Nine — of 2018 Great Release Program – 9 December – Sunday
By Silver RavenWolf
1st Quarter Moon in Capricorn (its all about structure)
Sunday – Sun Planetary Ruler
Whoot! Whoot! 9 Days – I’m dancing! I’m dancing! You have powered through the most challenging days of the program! From here on? Much easier!
DAILY BREW – THE STARS AND YOU! 9 December – Sunday – Capricorn moon shines on as Mercury in Scorpio dances through the last degrees of that sign, vibrating closure energy on Mercury-type issues (communication, letters, e-mails, phone calls, plans, documentation, monetary movement, interaction between family members, etc.) before the new waltz with Sagittarius begins.
Mercury will move out of its storm on Tuesday, and you may experience the removal of blocks and tendrils of tension dissolve as you motor through holiday activities. During the program, you might try working with Labradorite gemstone which is thought to help you release old, negative patterns. Some believe that the stone enhances communication with the divine, brings balance to body, mind and spirit, cleans and repairs the aura, and heightens intuition. Burn a deep blue candle to make the pattern of your work stronger as you apply labradorite in your practice.
Other gemstones used for release include: Rose Quartz — I swear by this stone for all sorts of uses. If you work in retail or other public venues, carry one in your pocket. It helps to keep your heart balanced and ward off the angst of others. I noticed the biggest difference if I forgot to carry it with me when I worked at the store.
Green Aventurine – Helps to hold this stone when dealing with emotional pain. Sit quietly. Breathe in deeply. Hold one second (pause). Breathe out deeply. Letting everything go as you breathe out. It may help you to visualize breathing in the Spirit of Love (or whatever is positive to you) and then as you breathe out, allow the energy to flush through your body and dance from your fingers or toes. Next breath flush out through your heart chakra. If you think a particular chakra is blocked, continue the deep breathing, envisioning the energy running cleanly through that chakra. If you are dealing with depression, check yourself, you may actually be forgetting to breathe for seconds at a time, skipping breaths, or breathing too shallow. Try correcting this pattern as often as you notice it with full, deep, relaxing breaths.
Rhodochrosite – Good for releasing the anger or hurt caused by an individual (negative person that is/was in your life). The stone is used in poppets and sachets to help mend a broken heart and attract positive, uplifting emotional exchanges with others. I often add it to packets for confidence and improving self-esteem.
This week, you may be feeling a heightened degree of independence in one area of your life, focusing on the house in your natal chart where the planet Venus is currently visiting. This confidence and strength may allow you to create exactly what you need in that area, especially as Venus is sextile Saturn in Capricorn, exact in about a week (which means the energy is operative up until then). Venus sextile Capricorn lends a positive vibration, particularly if you help those older than yourself, refurbish items of a structural nature (furniture for example), detail work, choose to work out relationship glitches, and enhance business activities because you are more focused on the practicality of smooth, enhanced flow.
Your Challenge Today – I’m so sorry to do this to you…sigh…the oven. The oven, the microwave, the toaster oven, the toaster – anything that you push de button and it gets super-duper hot with the end-game of cooking food.
Just remember…to complete today’s main challenge you must throw or give away one physical item.
If you are feeling super crafty this weekend, you may want to create Merry Moose, the symbol of this year’s Great Release Challenge. Animals “come” to me in life experiences or dreamtime, and in turn, I share their energy through art and writing with others. The moose knocked on my creative door in October, bringing light-hearted fun and joy.
Meaning: Usually, when moose comes enters your life the animal brings good luck and self-confidence. Moose tells us that we need to activate our talents, acknowledge our own strength and power, and use the energy within us and around us to enhance our well-being. We shouldn’t be ashamed of our talents, or allow others through their negative actions or comments to rob us of the joy we experience when using or sharing those talents with others. Moose says you can find balance and grace within the body and you have. AND…moose also stands for solidarity and togetherness – tribe. Best of all, the baby moose is a bringer of good fortune!
As with the gnome, you can make Merry Moose out of paper or felt. Be sure to stuff his tummy with a magickal petition and herbs that correspond to your intention. Hang Merry Moose in a prominent place in your living area so that he/she can bring you what you desire quickly. In my example, the bells on the feet are to ward off negative energies that may try to destroy your intention.
You can copy the pattern from this blog, or you can download it for fifty cents from my whispermagick store – http://www.whispermagick.com
Scheduling! The Great Release Program includes some challenges that you may wish to schedule in advance. They are: Haircut (hair, nails, massage, etc.), Pet Day (where you do something nice for your pet, and if you don’t have a pet, something nice for nature in general), Charity Day (where you focus on giving to others), and Vehicle Day (where you clean your mode of transportation and make the necessary arrangements for safety adjustments). Although I will list them on a specific day (just to keep the program running), you can fit these things in where they suit.
