Silver RavenWolf – Day 22 – Tuesday – 22 December — Great Release Challenge!

Potty Magick!

2015 Great Release Program
Day 22- December 22 2015
by Silver RavenWolf

Every day you must throw or give something away!

Second Quarter Moon in Taurus (Building! and Adjustments!)
Moon enters Gemini late in the evening

Ideal Planetary Hour for Magick —
Venus Hour for Taurus Energy
Mercury Hour for Gemini Energy
Mars Hour for the Ruler of the Day

This Week’s Theme:  I Celebrate!

The Foundation —  Begin your day with the Braucherei Morning cleansing and empowerment exercise (please view first post of the program ).

This Week’s Theme — Celebration of Self!

This week’s theme is Celebration of the Self!  Each day you will say aloud five things that are good about yourself.  That’s it.  That is all you have to do — oh, and then…smile.

Continue to use the Five Rays of Joy exercise given on On Day 12 .

If you like, continue to use the Peace Prayer in your daily activities (located in Day 2 of the program) and and Peace in the Moment visualization.  When you have finished with this week’s theme exercise, move on to today’s fun activities!

Silver’s Notes:  Only 9 More Days!

We are three-quarters through the challenge!  I hope you are having fun — I know I am!  And, yes, I did get my floors clean!  You may also find you have less foot traffic as the season progresses.  That’s because all the work you are doing shields your living area from negative people.  For example, Aunt Martha (who complains about everything and basically makes your holiday experience a nightmare on wheels) just can’t make it this year.  Gosh.  So sad.  Or, you may not see a special friend during the festive season and wonder why, or be disappointed at the cancellation of a favorite relative.  Well…that’s because they are dragging more negative junk than Marley’s ghost.

Rather than being upset — count yourself among the lucky.  Oddly enough, the holidays will be much sweeter for you!

On Saturday (Pet Day) we took the animals to the vet for their regular check-up.  On Sunday I walked through the house with a big garbage bag and started tossing junk, particularly worn out clothes, shoes, and things hiding in the kitchen cabinets.  I’m still trying to organize my work area and I have that one closet that I’ve been chipping away at (but have not managed to get more than a foot into).  I also haven’t gotten to the Man Cave. I will persevere!  How about you?

Today’s Magickal Challenge

Today’s magickal challenge centers on the Grand Cauldron of Release, otherwise known as your friendly, household toilet.  I also call it the Pit of Doom.  This is a fun spell that employs humor (using the toilet) with serious business (which is what you use it for).  All you have to do is write what you wish to banish on toilet paper, repeat this charm (or another one) 9 times, and then flush the toilet.  Do this once a day for 9 days.

Nasty goes in the bowl
evil goes down the hole!
It tumbles in crap, the sewer the trap
I’m free!  I’m free!  I’m free!

To entice general evil to leave the house, I burn a Devil’s Trap tea candle on the toilet lid.  When the candle burns out — I flush the toilet with a mixture of lemongrass essential and water.  You can also use a toilet bowl cleaning product.

Now, for the physical challenge — clean the toilet (ya gotta do it more than once a month anyway).

The Second Challenge today is studying the Kenaz/Cen rune.

This is one of my favorite runes because it deals with light, artistry and creative solutions.  If you need to find the truth of a matter, write what you need to know on a piece of paper.  Surround the words with the Kenaz Rune.  Turn the paper over and draw the symbol of Mercury on the back.  Dab the paper with honey to catch your answer.  Place a Tiger Eye gemstone on top.  Speak aloud, asking the universe to swiftly bring you the truth of the matter.  I always get my answer in about 24 hours.  How will you use this rune in your work today?

Today’s Physical Challenge

Clean the toilet(s) and wash down the bathroom on both sides with a lemon based cleaner. Your house may need to recover from Yule/Winter Solstice guests, and if that is the case, concentrate on that today.

Today’s Summary

Practice the Peace in the Moment Exercise.

Repeat the Peace Prayer, Star Throw Blessing, and Peace in the Moment exercises if you like.

Practice your personal Five Rays of Joy wake-up program.

Do a little Potty Banishing!

Clean the Toilet and the Bathroom Door (both sides)

Recover from Winter Solstice Celebrations (if necessary)

Do Five Three-Minute Dashes!

Throw out or give one thing away (most important task)

Don’t forget to add the coins to your Joy Jar!

Peace with the Gods
Peace with Nature
Peace Within

Sleep Well and see you tomorrow!

  1. HI Silver! Enjoying this year’s program, albeit I’ve fallen a bit behind and need to turn up the volume before getting to the finish line :-). I have a question about today’s challenge, and really any release spell that involves flushing a problem away- should we consider not doing these kinds of spells if we have a septic system? The septic isn’t emptied very often and my concern is all that negative energy will stay on the property instead of getting flushed away and eventually begin to wreak a little havoc. What do you think? Thanks and a Blessed Solstice to you and yours!

  2. Lol! I have been following you for years now and I have read most of your books, and I must say this is my favorite magical (and in my opinion the craziest) working you have published! When I read the day’s magical working, I fell off the chair laughing!😂. You can create some crazy magical workings! As crazy as I think this working is, I wrote this one down in my book of shadows. I plan on using this one during the dark moon when I do shadow work. It would be a great way to end a banishing ritual. Instead of using fire, I’ll use water and the Cauldron of release to banish negativity. After reading this post, I will never look at a toilet the same way again 🚽😉

  3. Yule Blessings to all!! im getting the challenge done slowly but surely. starting a new job , a fitness program , and the great release ive spread myself a lil thin but onward & upward. i came home from work the other day & my husband & sons were cleaning out the boys bedroom. they were getting rid of toys, clothes, u name it it was going. they didnt even realize how much they were helping in the great release challenge!! i thanked them & thanked goddess and went about my evening. Blessed Be! Joy, Joy, Joy to all😃

  4. I also have some catching up to do on the exercises, but with as stagnant and cluttered as my living room was, I feel I have made much progress toward my personal goal and continue to. Many thanks for the “challenge.” I am successfully throwing something away every day, at least, and have been getting some long unfinished projects completed. Have a cool Yule. Blessed be! Light, Love, Peace

  5. Your comments about people not showing up with their negativity was so apt, and helped me see it in a new way. I had been upset at some friends no show to my annual solstice cookie party. But that really changed my perspective. Thanks.
After 3 great years with this program , I took the wheel and ordered the first granny magic lesson. Thanks again😊😊

    1. It is so much less stressful when you look at something that seems negative on the surface from a different perspective, isn’t it? Makes life a whole lot easier! I do hope you enjoy the Granny lessons. One is to get your feet wet and see if you like it. 2,3, and four are packed with info that you may find extremely useful.

  6. I love the reminder about flushing things away! I have always loved this idea and constantly forget about it. Yesterday I was watching a video for a retreat and they were talking about banishing things, about tearing them up or burning them, and one lady mentioned flushing them too! The other then suggested doing all three!!! Tear, then Burn, then Flush! I think that would be very cleansing. Definitely going to be writing this one down in my journal to (hopefully) remember it. Funny thing, about an hour before I read today’s post, I cleaned the toilet 😛

I think it is really interesting how hard it can be sometimes to compliment ourselves. Standing in front of my mirror this morning, getting ready to say my five things I like about myself…it took some doing to get started. But I was definitely smiling by the end of it. So very powerful!

My mental image of Kenaz is a torch. I think that we all have great creativity inside of us, but sometimes we just can’t see it. It’s like sitting around one of those old caves with all the paintings on the wall…in the dark. You can’t see anything, it just feels small and dark. But if you have a torch, you can see all the inspiration and magic on the walls…and more, the torch flickers, it is alive, and it lends that energy to what it illuminates, really bringing the paintings to live. They seem to dance and move of their own accord, telling deeper stories.

I worked on some painting play today (not finished, but I feel like the painting bit is done…now just to embellish with markers). It was definitely a kenaz thing…painting just for the joy of playing with color, not trying to make any particular thing, just putting color where it seems like it needed to go.
