You’ve carved all those great pumpkins!  Don’t throw away the seeds — you can use them for three easy prosperity projects!  First, let’s dry and dress those seeds with my exclusive prosperity formula!

Done carving your pumpkin? Hey! The fun isn't over yet!

Gather the following ingredients to “dress” the seeds for baking or drying:

Cinnamon
Allspice
Nutmeg
Ground Cloves

1 tablespoon of Vanilla Extract
if you know FOR SURE no one will eat the seeds by mistake — add cinquefoil

Supplies for magickal dressed pumpkin seeds -- to use in oils, around candles or in conjuring bags.

Next, coat seeds with the above listed formula.  Time to dry them!  There are two easy ways — in your oven or using a food dehydrator.

If you choose to dry your seeds in the oven, turn them every 30 minutes to avoid scorching.

Once your dressed seeds are thoroughly dry, you are ready to make lots of great magickal projects!

This Prosperity Conjuring Bag uses Oak Moss, one Acorn gathered from the woods, one whole Nutmeg, orange peel, a quartz crystal, and your dressed pumpkin seeds. Copper wire helps to hold the magickal charge. The golden beads, ribbon, and jute add a decorative touch.

Dress your conjuring bag with this great magickal oil formula!

I used Jojoba carrier because it is safe, natural, and has a 100-year shelf life. Wrap the bottle with copper wire to increase the charge. A small crystal can also be placed into the bottle.

Enjoy candle burning?  Scatter dressed pumpkin seeds around the bottom of a green (money), gold (success), orange (opportunity), or red (fast money) candle.

On the new moon, write down a wish on a piece of paper. Be specific! Place the paper under your candle holder. Scatter dressed pumpkin seeds around the base of the candle -- then -- set the light!

Save the remainder of your pumpkin seeds for prosperity magicks throughout the year.  Your dried pumpkin seeds will last up to one year if you place them in an airtight container for storage.  If you need fast money wrap the highest denomination of paper bill that you have around three pumpkin seeds.  Secure the packet with copper wire or red thread.  Dress with your prosperity pumpkin seed oil.  Empower with a red candle.  Focus on prosperity and fast cash coming to you.  Add positive emotion to it!  Hold on to the packet until you receive what you need.  You can use the packet again, or you can unwrap it and give the original denomination bill to charity.  Need prosperity for the upcoming holiday season?  Scatter dressed pumpkin seeds on the front and back doorstep of your home, asking that the “winds of positive change” bring good fortune and luck to your family.

  1. It would be so hard for me to use them in magick- pumpkin seeds are one of my most favorite fall snacks! I will try to save some though 🙂 Great ideas!!

  2. I’m wondering if this is done while Mercury is in retrograde would there be any negative side affects?

    1. Excellent question. If you are worried about the affects of a retro Mercury, you can dry the seeds now (to preserve them) and then add the dressing ingredients later, after Mercury has gone direct. Or, you can add the dressing ingredients, dry them, and store until Mercury goes direct, then empower the dressed seeds. However, folks that have retro Mercury in their natal chart? When Mercury is retro they are dancing in the rain — a good time for them! Too, it also depends where the present Mercury is moving thru your natal chart, and if it touches anything significant. Another choice might be to air dry the seeds by putting them on a screen in a single layer — this way they will naturally dry. This will take longer; but, you will not be doing any creative activity with them — just preserving them. Thanks for asking! Does anyone have any thoughts on this question that they would like to share?

    1. Wondering which rune did you choose to use? Using the Elder Futhark, I would think Fehu would be a good choice as it represents abundance and financial strength (among other things). It is one of luck and earned income. Is there a bind rune that you use for prosperity?

      1. One more question: would acorn squash seeds work as well as Pumpkin seeds in this?

  3. I am carving pumpkins tomorrow. I thank you for these wonderful ideas. I thought this might also make a great yule gift for all my witchy friends and family. I am going to try this! Thank you Silver. I read your posts and it always seems appropriate for what is happening in my life. Blessings to you and yours.

  4. LOVE love love these great spells, Silver! Thank you so much for sharing them with us!

Btw, I was cleaning out a bookcase in my office today and found your little book– Silver’s Spells for Love– behind a bunch of stuffy history tomes. Oh my heavens, there it was! I looked inside it and my notes in red ink were still there. I know we’re coming on Samhain and not Valentines but I just have to testify how your spells changed my life.

Years ago I desperately needed to recover my faith in love and heal my heart. This was after my divorce and I had survived a sexual assault and several heartbreaks w my family and friends. I was in a very desolate place.

But I knew where there is darkness there must also be light, and so I did your Venus Spirit spell. Well it took a little over two years for the Spirit to bring me the love of my life, but bring him it did! And how do I know he’s the ONE that Venus Spirit brought? Well, he gave me the sign the spell requires!

Those of you out there aching for a heart healing or a love to call your own…go on out and get yourself this book, and follow the instructions, and wait, because healing and love is on it’s way. I know for a fact it works. I have been married 9 years now and know it was magic and Spirit that brought this great gift to my world.

I’d wondered over the years where that book that had transformed my life had gotten to. I’ve cleaned that bookcase many a times and never found it, until now. That I found it today, as we near Samhain and you send this post, Silver, I don’t believe its a coincidence. One of your readers need to know there’s love and hope and a spell to bring it home!

  5. Reading through your Halloween book and other sources, it’s no wonder TG found your Love spell book so close to Samhain! This holiday is all about love and reconnecting with the spirits; not the mischief and horror it’s been hyped up to be these days.

Happy Samhain to you, TG, Silver, and to everyone else! Blessed be!

My husband and I are carving our pumpkins tonight and I shall be saving our seeds for this spell (and some for runic divination)! I also have apples, candles and other goodies for love/prosperity spells from your Halloween book prepared that I can’t wait to get cookin’!

Thank you for your continued inspiration and fun spells and crafts! (Basket o’ Bones in the works! 🙂 )

  6. This is a great idea, I eat the pumpkin seeds too when I do carve but next time i’ll keep some! I have a question…do you know where I can get the essential/fragrances?
