Great Release Challenge – 22 — Saturday

Congratulations!  You are one third of the way through this year’s Great Release Program!  Three extra gold stars for you if you have managed to release at least one thing each day – five gold stars if you have followed the program and done other tasks!

We started from without, because sometimes we just get stuck in life.  Stresses can bog us down, loss can bring lethargic behavior.  On occasion we just feel like we can’t go any further.

But you can!

By cleaning, clearing, de-cluttering, giving away, trashing – all this outer stuff changes the inner you.  As within, so without.  As without, so within.  The fact that this program even interested you means that you are willing to change your circumstances to make your world a better place.  I honor you!

Mental/Spiritual Challenge:  Our first task for today is to go through the house and empty all the trash.  Yes, I know you’ve been keeping up with this; but, let’s just make a run through.  On your mark, get set…go!

Excellent!  Our next challenge is to write for three minutes – What is Stuck in My Life Right Now.  You can choose small or large issues, just let your fingers flow across that keyboard or let the pencil glide across the paper.  No punctuation is necessary, just let it go!

All done?  Beautiful!  Read over what you have written.  Burn the paper or delete what you’ve written on the computer.  Get up and go through the house looking for physical items that are stuck.  Did you start a project and just let it sit there while you’ve worked around it?  Move it to a different location.  Did someone bring something into the house and keep telling you that they are going to put it away, and then never did (that happens a lot here).  Put it away.  Yes, I know it is pissing you off; but, today, put it away anyway, then clear that area with bells, your jingle jar, incense or even perfume.  Look for any and all things that are stuck, particularly those that landed in their places before we began the program.  Items that you cleaned around, dusted around, or walked around thinking you would get to that later.  By moving the outer, we move our thoughts on the inner.

Your third mental/spiritual challenge today is to set up a Sweet Altar that will remain in place for the next seven days.  The Sweet Altar is designed only for things like good health, good fortune, happiness, joy, love, etc.  Everything on it should scream “Joy!  Joy!  Joy”.  Items on this altar can include a bowl of sugar, sweet fruits (which should be changed every 24 hours), pictures of happiness, colors that make you feel good.  The altar should also have a white candle (for activation) and a bowl of clear water that you will change every day.  Each day you will greet the Sweet Altar like it is an old friend.  As you maintain the altar, think positive thoughts.  Repeat bright affirmations like, “My life is filled with positive abundance and all my needs are met,” or whisper sweet words “Love, Happiness, Joy, Compassion, Smiles, Unity…etc.”  Let us all know how this type of altar affects your life in the next seven days.
Today’s Physical Challenge – Concentrates on your vehicle and if you don’t have one, on your silverware drawer (think of how you might upcycle those items – I’ve seen windchimes, jewelry, and other interesting items made out of silverware.)  For your vehicle, should you have one, get rid of the trash, wash the windows, and vacuum if you can.  Make sure the tire pressure is good, that everything works properly, and that you have emergency items in the trunk.  Finally, make sure your insurance and registration paperwork is where you need them to be in case you must present them.  I personally know three people that live in their cars as much as they live in their houses or apartments.  If this is you, today is the day to declutter.  If you are driving around surrounded by junk that is definitely the experiences you are going to have in life – moving toward junk and getting stuck there.

(1)   Do your Morning Braucherei Ritual and light your goal candle.

(2)   Do Today’s Mental Challenges.

(3)   Do Today’s Physical Challenge.

(4)   Don’t forget to do your Sea of Potential Exercise!

(5)   Get ready for tomorrow!

Tomorrow:  Your Computer and the Internet

Give yourself One Gold Star if you remembered to do your morning ritual.  Two gold stars if you completed today’s general challenge of releasing at least one item.  Three gold stars if you did your physical challenge.  Four gold stars if you finished your mental/spiritual challenge.  Five gold stars if you did something from your Wish List.  Six gold stars if you squeezed in a speed cleaning challenge!  Seven Gold Stars if you continue to use your Sea of Potential exercise!

Peace with the Gods
Peace with Nature
Peace Within.

  1. Dustbins are empty, writing is done and burned, car are cleaned. Sweet altar are surrounded with red hearts that i wrote the things on that make me happy, with a photo of my family (hubby, kids and me). At the moment its 43 C outside, don’t even want to convert it to F, i just might think its way to hot to move.

    Blessed Be

  2. My Sweet Alter Objects:
Peonies: (representing Love; my Grandma’s favorite flower as well as mine)
My family & friends (not enough room for all those pictures)
Holidays: (represented by ‘Artist Trading Cards’ for all 8 Holidays)
Sacred Birch Society (represented by my SBS Photo Album)
The 4 elements (represented by bowel of water, candle, feather, and earth)
Amethyst Crystal for enhancing spiritual qualities, intuition
    My ‘Witches Bracelet’
    Fresh fruit: Lemon and Apples

  3. I’m glad today is clean your car day. As I was going through my papers for my car, I realized that my car insurance card was expiring today. I had completely forgotten to replace my old card with my new card. Thanks, I think you saved me from getting a fine if I get stopped by the police.

  4. I promised myself that today was the day that I would tackle the basement. It’s a huge space and unfortunately has been a catch-all for things that I “didn’t have time” to deal with. Boxes and reusable shopping bags filled with everything from unopened mail to craft supplies to yogurt containers filled with stones from a trip to the mountains 3 years ago. I spent 4 hours down there and was able to get quite a bit accomplished, but there’s still a considerable amount that I need to do. To say that it was emotionally draining would be an understatement. I took a short break and when I returned I just stood there, feeling like I could cry. So I am going to take some time this evening to create my “Sweet Altar”, as it seems that I need to be extra kind to myself today. I am still very grateful for the process and determined to keep going, but have to acknowledge that sometimes you have to come face to face with the sadness and the hurt in order to release it and move on.

    1. OK, just did my joy altar. I kept it very simple, but that’s all part of this challenge. Simplifying your life. 🙂 The candle is burning and it looks so pretty. I feel better already.

      1. Congrats on getting so much done today, Kelly. And yay! to getting your altar set up, and feeling better. 🙂

  5. I have altar and its always.making the whole.household smile nothing but good vibes and.peace love and harmony. When white.light we are balanced day or night.

  6. My altar is already a joy altar so check. But because we recently moved into a new house and immediately started to sand, refinish, repaint everything, my studio has become the catch-all. every roll of plastic, can of paint, roller, tool, pieces of molding, doors waiting to be sanded and painted, e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g is in there! And yeah, I just vacuum around the pile. No wonder I’m feeling so stuck and grumpy! Okay, though still running a couple days behind everyone, I have my task for today. THANK YOU Silver! Without your prompting I’d never tackle the stuckness.
