Day Thirteen! — 2012 Great Release Challenge!

Today’s Mental Challenge — is a writing exercise.  Yesterday we celebrated that powerful new moon in Sagittarius.  Today, we’re going to take advantage of that energy by writing a statement of intent.  This is the perfect time to take advantage of the powerful energies available.  By forming your goals into symbols (letters, words, pictures, sigils) and bringing them into the physical world by placing them on paper, you will be setting the energy in motion that is needed to accomplish your desire on this plane of existence.  From there your desire grows to full manifestation.

For this exercise we will work on one statement of intent.  Although you may have many goals, try to pick the one that is most meaningful to you right now; perhaps something that encompass the well-being of the heart of the family.   You will need a red pen, a red bag or envelope (or an envelope you have decorated yourself), a piece of paper, and a living plant OR a quartz crystal.

First, mark the center of your living or working environment.  Take your time, walk around where you live or work and quietly determine the center.    It is from here, the heart of the home, that emotional energy travels outward.  What does it look like?  Does its condition reflect your family or work environment at this time?  Clear all clutter, dirt, debris, junk, crap, whatever from this place, and for the remainder of the program (and hopefully beyond) keep this area free of dirt and clutter as much as possible above and beyond the other tasks that we do.

Next, take several deep, cleansing breaths, write down your intention (or what you desire) that you wish to manifest.  Write clearly, meaning, be as specific as possible, and then add the words “or better”.  For this type of working, be sure to add a “thank-you” that reflects receipt of your desire on the opposite side of the paper.  What if everything is such a mess that you don’t know, exactly, where your focus should be?  Just ask for joy and let the universe take it from there.

Place your paper in the envelope.  Hold the envelope in your hands and practice the Sea of Potential Exercise you learned early in the program.  When you are finished, place the envelope in the center of the home, under that crystal or living plant. Leave it there until your desire manifests, then burn the paper and the envelope.

What if there is a piece of furniture in the center of your home?  If things are stuck for your family, move it or rearrange its position.  If rearranging doesn’t seem to help (you should feel the change within 24 hours) definitely think about moving the piece.  If the furniture placement doesn’t seem to affect the well-being of the family, then place the plant or crystal and envelope on that piece of furniture (for example, if it is a table).

How I’ve Been Doing:

I’ve gotten quite a lot accomplished in the past week.  Over the weekend my husband and I tackled the walk-in closet, adding new shelving, moving shelving out of our bedroom and into my work room (which is still the most unorganized part of the house, sigh).  I’ve been picking at that room a little bit every day.  I found a pet feeder that works great (I tried the mat, great idea, except Oz is a sixty pound dog with at least 120 pounds of torque in the nose pushing department).

I also added plants to our decor, and did some research on low-light-hard-to-kill varieties.

if you are looking for easy care green friends.  In Feng Shui the southeast corner of any room, particularly your office or hobby/work area is the place to put living plants to enhance personal profits and good luck.  If you have terrible luck with plants, the artificial variety is acceptable.  Avoid, they say, cactus plants, as they send poison darts into the area.  Bamboo, on the other hand, is considered particularly auspicious — if you have no desire to raise the plant, a painting will do just fine.  Not only does bamboo encourage wealth and prosperity, it is also used as a protective correspondence.  As with most items in Feng Shui, Bamboo should be displayed in pairs to keep the luck strong and long lasting.

My husband and I also talked about what he might like to do with his man-cave (this is a study/office/relaxation place just for him).  He had some interesting theme ideas, so I’ll be on the lookout for items that will make his room more comfortable and to his liking.  He never says much about decorating, so I seized the opportunity when he opened up about it.  I also moved items out of his closet that belonged elsewhere in the house, freeing up his closet for his own, personal choices.  When we moved in the fall several things got shoved in there because we had no idea where to put them.  As we’re becoming comfortable with our space, I’m able to move things around that will suit better.

Your Physical Mission Today:  Sports and Exercise Equipment

Today’s physical challenge is to clean out, clean up, give away, or release as it applies to you — sports and exercise equipment.  If you don’t have any, choose another area of your environment to work on.

Tomorrow:  Your Clothing

Summary:

1.  Do Your Morning Braucherei Ritual and light your goal candle.
2.  Clear and clean the center of your home (if this hasn’t been done already).
3.  Clean, release or store, sports and exercise equipment.
4.  Write your intention statement and perform the exercise given.
5.  Get Ready for Tomorrow!

Give yourself one gold star if you did today’s physical sports and exercise equipment challenge.  Two gold stars if you also practiced the mental Happy Town visualization exercise.  Three gold stars if you managed to catch up and do something you missed from the day before.  Four gold stars if you completed something on your new Wish List .  Five Gold Stars if you kept up your Speed Cleaning Exercises.   Six Gold Stars if you completed today’s Spiritual/Mental exercise.  Remember, for every seven gold stars you earn, you get to treat yourself with something special!

Peace with the Gods
Peace with Nature
Peace Within.

So be it.

  1. HELP! The center of my house is a bit of hallway right in front of a bathroom door! The hall is pretty standard 70s meaning too narrow for a plant or furniture. Any ideas?

  2. I cant sit still today, what have you done to me Silver? 😀 Caught myself straitening the dent in the bed where i sat down to put on my shoes…… Been walking around looking for housework really? Did the sea of potential, and the morning ritual. Now i am going to tackle the room divider, saw some video cassettes, YES old video cassettes in there yesterday when i went to put away some boardgames, now i am armed with a box and ready to trow away. ( O.O what does that say about us? No gym equipment, only a bunch of old films…… coach potatoes) Does taking the dogs for a walk count as exercise or pleasure? Then maybe i should give them a nice bath today. 😀

    1. My exercise equipment is a bunch of Tai Chi tapes — so you are not alone. I emptied kitchen cabinets, rearranged those and went through our dried food storage.

  3. So, today we’re tackling my daughters closet. I’ve been meaning to do it for the last couple of days, but I’ve been putting it off…… Basically it’s a disorganized mess, and I’m dreading the task. It’s something that needs to get done, and I’ve been putting it off since we moved into this apartment. I guess the biggest issue I’m having is getting rid of these baby blankets that I know were given to her and hand made by these little old ladies that just love her. I’m thinking that maybe I might donate them to the local hospital for the new babies, but I’m not really sure. I may actually have to do a release on them because I’m so attached to them (she hasn’t touched them since they were given to her). Any ideas on this task that might make it a tad bit easier?

  4. You could take the blankets and upcycle them into something else — a larger throw, pillows, etc., OR you could put them in a protection box for her (because they were made with love); OR you could donate them to someone who really needs them. Anyone else have some thoughts?

    1. That’s the one thing i found the hardest to let go of, my kiddies old baby stuff. I know it’s not ideal, but i v put mine away for years (the oldest is 23 to give you an idea). But 3 years ago i started letting go of some of it, not all just some. The blankets were so old when i finally parted with them that they were of no use for someones baby….. it’s sad. They got a new home as dog blankets for a friend of mine, they were used to hand rear 12 English Bulldog puppy’s whose mommy didn’t have milk for them, that’s where i got my dog from. If you are quite sure there will be no more children for you, give the blankets to a baby who needs it now, keep her favorite one if you want to, but don’t let them end up as dog blankets (not yet at least). Wish i thought of combining them years ago, as Silver said.

  5. I used red paper to write on, it felt different when i did the sea of potential while holding the paper, like my whole being is some how present… don’t know how to describe it, i used a piece of rose quarts, because all my love for my family went into that petition.
I did that room divider with the old video cassettes, was not afraid to use my box. A friend of my oldest son took it tonight, apparently her mom still have a video machine that work.
The “exercise equipment” enjoyed their bath, it was bright and sunny earlier today, so i decided to wash them outside on the lawn, we played with tennis balls while they were drying off (and of course Daizy the Jack Russel found some “fresh cologne of dead dove” to roll in, had to sniff it out myself and bury it, and yes, wash her again). Cleaned the porch (again) there were some ash left after my working last night to take care of.
The plum tree went crazy this year, been raking up fallen plums for days, the birds are having a party, all the neighbors are trying to help us eat it, i ll be making jam, juice and chutney for days, even found a plum wine recipe on the internet, ( hubby says its gonna explode all over the place, or he can use it for paint stripper like the last time i tried to make pineapple beer) 😛
Lastly i nearly jumped out of my new panty when i went to close the curtains, all those relocated spiders are finding their way back my porch and into our room now, one was waiting on the pelmet for me…… 😀

Bless you all with love and joy.

    1. “i nearly jumped out of my new panty” hahaha :). I love spiders, Bianco. I always get happy when I see them. Where I come from, they are considered a blessing, some even prosperity. Maybe you can tell them “Y’all, i have received your message. You don’t need to come in any further.” 😉 lol

      1. Yea i love them 2, when i need to clean where thy took up residence i always catch them and take them across the street (there’s an open plot there). But some of them JUMP and move very fast……. I wish they would really go weave their new fates outside, i got the message from them now…….

  6. We don’t have a lot of exercise stuff too (I have one lonely 5lb weight I found at goodwill, and would love to have a mate for…it always feels unbalanced to do just one arm at a time…besides that I have a few resistance bands and a yoga mat). So instead I did the toolbox….which unfortunately is an actual box, with tools, extension cords, powerstrips and electrical chargers in it. Anytime we need something I have to dig through the box to find what I need, which almost always has fallen to the bottom of the box (and for having a hubby who normally insists on fixing things himself, why is it always me who has to go find tools!!!). I managed to get him to let me get rid of our collection of old screwdrivers, since he got a set of new ones this year from one of the guys at work. I didn’t realize how many we had (probably because whenever I went to go look for one I could never find one).

The center of our house is the laundry room, which also stores all our cleaning products….you’d think that would lend itself well to having a tidy house! I put my envelope and crystal on a shelf behind the sunscreen where it won’t be disturbed. I too found the Sea of Potential to be more potent while holding the paper (and my crystal) in hand to be charged.

  7. well the only exercise equipment i got is a treadmill and my dog.. my purpose today was to do those darn holiday cards again (they keep evading me)… but i have been soo cold today at work and i’m still cold at home.. no matter what i do i can’t warm up!! Plus i’m soo tired! I hope i’m not coming down with something.. i feel fine.
We,, anyway as soon as i got home.. i got outta my work clothes and snuggled into some nice warm pajamas, my kitty slippers, and my bathrobe, and wrapped a blanket around myself. Ate a quick micro dinner and watched tv. Was warm for a little while, until my blankie got stolen by my bf.. he’s cold too… and yes we have the heat on!! 😦 Plus it’s extremely dry here too, so the cold dry air is doing a number on my hands and nose! My nose hurts soo bad, i’m afraid to blow it for fear of a nosebleed!
Now i’m off to bed to snuggle under like 3 blankets!! yes i’m serious! i wish i had off from work tomorrow, but sadly i dont. i’m in hibernation mode, all i want to do is stay cuddled up in my bed, all nice and warm, and sleep, sleep sleep! I wish i was a bear!! 🙂
