Hettie Hint!
Hettie’s Organizing Tip For Today: Use bowls that match your decor for catching small items such as television remotes, keys, rings, hair ties & clips. A bowl can be artfully placed almost anywhere! Can’t find a bowl that matches your magickal tastes? Purchase wooden ones at the craft store and create your own designer line! The bowl on the tree limbs at the top of today’s post — that’s my bedside table! Holds everything — jewelry, tissues, whatever! Even a glass of water!
Today’s Challenge: Organize your Favorite Room
What’s your favorite room in your living environment? Today’s Challenge is to come up with artful out-of-the-box ideas to help yourself eliminate clutter. Just because an object is normally used for one thing doesn’t mean you can’t use it for something else. The picture below shows a stained, wooden Amish made trash bin — that I turned into a marvelous hamper. I made the pitcher and bowl set that rests on top for ritual purposes. The pitcher holds blessed water, helping me to keep this room magickal all the time. For the Yule season I added bunches of holly. The wraps hanging from the Laundry sign aren’t dirty at all — the clever sign with hooks is a great place to hang a selection of shawls and sweaters keeping them crease free and out of the way.
Take a trip to the dollar store and think of ways to use interesting containers for storage in a hobby area.
How many unusual, artfully creative storage ideas can you think of?

I really liked this challenge today it is more fun and creative in solving the clutter problems in certain areas of the house. thank you for your wonderful tips and ideas!
It’s funny that you picked this topic today Silver as yesterday I had come up with an idea for keeping small things (rubber bands, tape, sewing thread etc.,) organized.
A few years ago I was a consultant for a candle selling company and had gotten their Holiday Sample. It was a small plastic rectangular container that held a dozen or so different scented votives. I’ve had this thing for about six years and had only burned maybe one candle a year as I always kept it with the holiday candle decorations. It came out of the candle bin once again this year and I had burned a candle I’d wanted to try but never did due to the former roommate’s allergies. I’ve been burning one a day every few days to make the place smell more festive and to dispel negativity. Yesterday I decided to burn two since it was Christmas and before closing the lid I counted how many were left and decided to burn one each day for the rest of the year. This is the Release Program, why continually put it away each year just to pull it out the following year to burn one or two? The thought came to me; what to do wit the container when they were all done? I got the following idea: as each candle was in its own little pocket I thought I would give it a good cleaning to remove any wax tracings and use it to organize the small items we normally keep in the cabinet but get shoved around since they’re small. I like your idea of being creative and as I will be up the mall this weekend I think I’ll look to see what the dollar store has in the way of stickers or craft items. Great idea Silver!
